Klaus Petersen is professor and director of Danish Centre for Welfare Studies, and Chair of Humanities at Danish Institute for Advanced Studies at University of Southern Denmark . His main fields of interests includes historical development of Danish and Nordic welfare states, family policy, retirement policy and old age, Social Democracy, the links between war and social policy, welfare semantics, and Nordic cooperation. His approach to research is cross-disciplinary featuring cooperation with disciplines such as social sciences, health science, and literary studies.
